Mock snakeskin heel court shoes from Dorothy Perkins

Dorothy PerkinsSnakeskin heels are strangely classic, in that they go with most things and they don't really go right out of fashion. They're always lurking in the background, waiting for their time. They can be dressed up, and dressed down, worn to work or to a party. Basically they're adaptable.

These white Dorothy Perkin courts aren't real snakeskin obviously, they're snakeskin printed leather. Because of that lovely fact, they cost a mere £50! Not bad for a fashion investment, right?

Coral pom pom pumps from Dorothy Perkins

Dorothy PerkinsAlong with navy, coral is turning out to be one of the big colours of this Spring, and it looks like those pom poms we kept seeing at Christmas are sticking around too. It doesn't sound like a great combination on paper, but these coral pumps from Dorothy Perkins have a pom pom that's relatively restrained, and as such, I think they'd be easy to wear, either with skirts or trousers.

Red side-zip shoe boots from Dorothy Perkins

Dorothy PerkinsThis is one of my favourite shades of red for shoes: it's kind of an oxblood, and it's the kind of colour that even those who shy away from bright, "Dorothy" reds might be persuaded to try. It also makes a really nice alternative to brown or black because it works with most other colours.

But enough about the colour. I like the shoes themselves because they have a strangely "snug" look about them thanks to the little side zip, but the shape is still narrow and elegant enough to allow you to wear them for things like work, or other occasions where a pair of dress trousers or formal-style of skirt/dress is required.
